Activating AVG Internet Security on Windows

After purchasing AVG Internet Security, you need to activate the product using either an activation code, or via your AVG MyAccount that is registered with the same email address you used to make the purchase.

NOTE: Before following the activation steps in this article, ensure the latest version of AVG Internet Security is installed on your PC. For instructions, refer to the following article:

Activation Code

Your activation code can be located in a number of different places depending on the purchase method. For example, in an order confirmation email, on an activation card, or within another AVG product. For instructions on how to locate your activation code, refer to the following article:

Locating your AVG activation code

To activate AVG Internet Security with an activation code:

Double-click the AVG Internet Security icon on your desktop to open the product.
Click My AVG in the top-right of the screen, then click My Subscription.
Select Enter a valid activation code.
Type or paste your activation code into the text box, then click Enter.
Your subscription is activated. Click Continue to return to the My Subscription screen.

After activation, your subscription details are visible on the My Subscription screen under Subscriptions on this PC.

AVG MyAccount

All your AVG licenses automatically appear in the AVG MyAccount registered with the same email address you used to make the purchase.

Creating an AVG MyAccount

To activate AVG Internet Security via your AVG MyAccount:

Double-click the AVG Internet Security icon on your desktop to open the product.
Click My AVG in the top-right of the screen, then click My Subscription.
Select Log in to your AVG Account.
Enter your AVG MyAccount email and password, then click Log in.
Your subscription is activated. Click Continue to return to the My Subscription screen.

After activation, your subscription details are visible on the My Subscription screen under Subscriptions on this PC.
