Once you upgrade to G Suite, the next thing you need is to verify your domain. Google’s MX records allow you to verify and set up your professional Gmail account effortlessly. After you will switch to Google’s MX records, you can also receive emails through an email client like MS outlook. If you want to upgrade to G suite MX account, follow these below steps and get going:
• In case if you already have your own domain, you will need to create your account in the Google Admin console before setting up MX records.
• Now sign in to your Domain account from your domain host.
• Next, you need to update your domain’s MX records from your Mail settings.
• If you have any existing MX records, delete them all. In case if you are not able to delete these records, you can also set their priority number to 20 or higher.
• After that, you will need to add new MX records for the Google mail servers in the labeled fields. Add only first 2 values for G Suite if your domain limits the records.
• To verify your domain, first, go to the unique MX verification record you got from G Suite Setup Wizard and then copy it entirely. Make sure the record ends with verification.google.com and then paste it Value/Answer/Destination/Target sections.
• Set the priority for the record to 15 or low or greater.
• Save the changes to apply the settings. You might have to wait for 2 to 3 days until your domain verifies your account. It totally depends on your domain client how much time it takes for the verification.
